An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and NIT Rourkela, Partha is a domain expert in fast-moving consumer electronics goods, having delivered products in companies like Xiaomi, Acer, and Samsung.
An alumnus of IIM Bangalore and NIT Rourkela, Debashish has a rich experience in multiple roles, especially in fast growth and high-scale services start-ups like Swiggy, Suprdaily and Nestaway.
Our Story:
Building the Ideal, Even When It’s Not Easy
When my co-founder and I started exploring senior living options for our parents, we discovered a hard truth: the existing solutions in India were either too clinical or too far removed from everything that gave their lives meaning.
Our dream was simple but ambitious — to create communities where seniors could age with dignity, in neighborhoods they already knew, surrounded by familiar people, places, and routines.
But as we started building Bodhi Life, we had to confront the complexity of this dream.
The reality is, it’s not always possible to build a full-fledged senior living community in every neighborhood. Real estate constraints, zoning laws, and infrastructure gaps often make it unfeasible. And not every locality has the resources or demand to support such a model.
But that didn’t mean we had to give up. Instead, we evolved our solution.
Our goal is to always keep them connected to their roots, even if it means taking a few steps away from the exact place they once lived.
We also design our communities with a deep understanding of what truly matters — daily rituals, social connections, spiritual spaces, comfort food, and wellness support — all grounded in Indian culture and values.
Bodhi Life isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress. It’s about closing the gap between what seniors need and what families can realistically provide, in a way that feels human, not institutional.
